6 AWG THHN is a type of thermoplastic high-heat-resistant nylon-coated electrical wire that is primarily used in conduit and cable trays for services, feeders, and branch circuits in commercial or industrial applications. 6 thhn wire consists of stranded copper wires with polyvinyl chloride (PVC) insulation and a nylon coating and is resistant to heat, mechanical wear, and chemicals.  As a relatively large size, thhn wire 6  can be used for larger loads, such as air-conditioning HVAC and sub-panel. 6 thhn is rated for 600 volts, is sold by the foot, and can be cut to the desired length, such as 500 feet.
