THHN wire is available in 4/0 gauge with a stranded conductor of 19 copper strands. 4/0 AWG THHN wire has a soft drawn bare copper conductor with PVC primary insulation and nylon jacket. THHN PVC insulated nylon sheathed cable is manufactured in accordance with UL758, UL62, and UL83 standards for enhanced durability and abrasion resistance, as well as ease of pulling conduit. It is primarily used for building and electrical wiring installations and is superior in heat resistance, electrical performance and physical properties.
