RZ1-K cable is a power and control cable designed for indoor fixed installations on circuits with voltage levels from 0.6/1kV to 1.8/3kV. The features of the RZ1-K are listed below:

  • The conductor is class 5 stranded copper.
  • Low Smoke and Halogen Free (LSZH) cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) is usually used as the insulation.
  • Widely used in street lighting, public places, power stations.
  • Compliance with  international and European standards, such as IEC 60502-1, EN 60228, UNE 21123, etc.,
  • RZ1-K (AS+) is fire-resistant and halogen-free characteristics, designed to ensure the power supply of emergency circuits during a fire.

  • Voltage Rating: Uo/U0.6/1kV
  • Temperature Rating: -15°C to +90°C
  • Max. temperature during short circuit (≤5S): 250°C
  • Minimum Bending Radius: 5 x overall diameter

FAQ

The primary difference is the sheath material. RV-K uses PVC (which releases toxic smoke in a fire), while RZ1-K uses LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) material.
Yes. RZ1-K cables typically feature a UV-resistant outer sheath and are water-resistant (AD7 rating), making them suitable for outdoor installation. However, because they are Halogen-Free, the sheath is slightly less resistant to abrasion than PVC, so mechanical protection is recommended.
It is highly flexible. It utilizes Class 5 stranded copper conductors, making it easy to handle and install in tight spaces, complex cable trays, or areas with difficult bends
