The “M” in NYM indicates that the cable contains multiple individual cores within a single PVC jacket. This product is suitable for use in lines with an AC rated voltage U0/U of 0.6/1kV for transmission and distribution lines. Designed with rugged PVC insulation and jacketing to meet European standards, the low voltage cable is the preferred choice for residential, commercial and industrial environments. NYM cables are well insulated and adaptable to a wide range of environments – from dry interiors to wet areas. In contrast, NYY cables perform better in outdoor and underground applications.
