NYCWY cable is a low voltage power cable designed to operate at a rated voltage of 0.6/1kV. The PVC insulation and jacket provide reliable electrical insulation and protection against mechanical damage, as well as resistance to chemicals and weather conditions. Concentric conductors are made of copper wires and tapes and can be used as neutral, protective or earthing conductors. NYCWY electrical cables are available with full and reduced size concentric conductors, as well as round and fan shaped conductors to meet different installation requirements.

  • Due to their flexible design, NYCWY cables can be used in a wide range of installation conditions, including direct installation inside walls, in water or under the ground, as well as through conduit wiring.
  • NYCWY cables are particularly suitable for underground installations, industrial plants, city grids and power stations. They maintain good performance even under conditions of mechanical stress.

FAQ

Widely used in 0.6/1 kV power distribution systems requiring enhanced mechanical and shielding protection. Designed for fixed installation in diverse environments, including underground, indoor, outdoor, concrete, and water.
It is manufactured generally in accordance with DIN VDE 0276-603 (HD 603 S1) for power distribution cables.
Yes. Although its primary function is a neutral/earth conductor and a safety features (protection against contact voltage if hit by a pickaxe), the copper layer provides a significant degree of electromagnetic screening compared to unshielded cables like NYY.
