- Product Details
CU/XLPE/LSZH/SWA/LSZH low voltage cable is a multi-layer armored power cable. The conductor layer is made of high purity electrolytic copper by multi-stranded stranding to enhance flexibility and current-carrying efficiency, supporting 0.6/1kV rated voltage. The steel wire armor layer covers the XLPE insulation with spiral gap winding to provide compressive and tensile strength. At the same time, this steel wire armoured cable prioritizes fire safety and environmental protection and is the preferred choice for applications where smoke suppression, corrosion resistance and mechanical durability are critical. Examples include industrial plants, underground facilities and public infrastructure.
Product Features
- Certified to IEC 60332-3 (burning in bundles), IEC 60754 (halogen free testing) and BS 6724. No release of corrosive halogenated acid gases in fire, avoiding secondary disasters.
- The grounding design of the armor layer enhances the ability of anti-electromagnetic interference and guarantees the integrity of signal transmission.
- The electrical cable outer sheath is UV resistant, acid and alkali resistant, suitable for outdoor, humid or chemically polluted environments.
- Pre-lubricated LSZH jacket reduces friction when cable is pulled in conduit.
- Compliant with RoHS, REACH environmental directives

FAQ
What is the main difference between this cable and standard BS 5467 SWA?
The sheathing material. Standard BS 5467 uses PVC, which releases toxic black smoke when burned. This cable (BS 6724) uses LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) materials, making it mandatory for public buildings (hospitals, airports) to ensure evacuation safety.
What standard does this cable meet?
It is manufactured to BS 6724. This is the British Standard for armoured cables with thermosetting insulation (XLPE) and low emission of smoke and corrosive gases when affected by fire.
Is this cable resistant to chemicals and oils?
Generally No. LSZH materials are not as resistant to oils, fuels, and solvents as PVC. If the installation environment involves exposure to hydrocarbons (e.g., a refinery), you may need a specialized lead-sheathed or dual-rated cable.
