H07V-U cable is a European standard single core PVC insulated cable. It is suitable for fixed wiring of power installations and electrical equipment with AC rated voltage 450/750V and below. The house wire is suitable for laying in conduits, as well as in open or pre-buried casings. Its designation follows the international standard IEC 60227:
H: Conforms to harmonized European standards (HAR certification).
07: Rated voltage 450/750V.
V: PVC insulation.
U: solid copper conductor (class 1).

For more electrical requirements different options can be considered:
H07V-K cable: features multi-stranded, finely stranded copper conductors (Class 5) for greater flexibility for applications that require frequent bending.
H07V-R cable: utilizes multi-stranded copper conductors for more demanding industrial environments.

Key Features

FAQ

The conductor flexibility. H07V-U has a Solid Class 1 copper conductor (a single rigid wire). H07V-K has a Flexible Class 5 conductor (many fine strands). Use H07V-U for fixed wiring in walls/conduits; use H07V-K for control panels or areas requiring tight bending.
No. The standard PVC insulation is not UV-resistant and will degrade under sunlight.
No. H07V-U is a single-insulated wire (non-sheathed). It must be installed inside a protective conduit, trunking, or raceway. It cannot be plastered directly into walls or laid in cable trays without external mechanical protection.
