- Product Details
H07V-K Cable is a flexible PVC insulated single conductor copper cable according to IEC 60227. It is designed for fixed electrical installations and is widely used in residential wiring, industrial control cabinets and for internal wiring of machinery. The electrical wire is available in various sizes, such as H07V-K 16mm² for higher current requirements or H07V-K 10mm² for medium-sized tasks. The name “ H07V-K ” means:
H: Harmonized European Standard.
07: Rated voltage 450/750V (U0/U).
V: PVC insulation.
K: Bare or tinned copper conductor (Class 5 fine twisted construction).
- Highly flexible; easy to install: With 336 copper wires in a single core (H07V-K 16mm² for example) and a bending radius as low as 6 times the outside diameter, it is suitable for narrow distribution boxes or complex wiring paths.
- Voltage and temperature resistant, safe and reliable: The PVC insulation has a temperature resistance of 90°C (normal) and a short-circuit withstand temperature of 160°C (5 seconds) and is flame retardant according to IEC 60332-1.
- International certification; high versatility: CE, RoHS, UKCA certified, suitable for EU, UK, Middle East and other markets.

FAQ
What is the main difference between H07V-K and H07V-U/R?
Flexibility. H07V-K uses a Class 5 fine stranded copper conductor, making it highly flexible and ideal for internal wiring in tight control panels. H07V-U (Solid) and H07V-R (Stranded Rigid) are stiffer and designed for fixed straight runs in conduits.
Does H07V-K require ferrules (end sleeves) for termination?
Yes, highly recommended. Because H07V-K consists of fine copper strands, they can splay when tightened under a screw. You should crimp bootlace ferrules onto the ends before inserting them into terminal blocks to ensure a gas-tight, safe connection.
Can H07V-K be used outdoors?
No. The standard PVC insulation is not UV-resistant and not designed for wet environments. Exposure to sunlight will cause the insulation to crack.
