- Product Details
The TCWB cable is a tinned copper wire braided (TCWB) control cable, designed for signal and control circuits where both electrical stability and strong shielding are required. Its structure consists of copper conductors, PVC or XLPE insulation, an inner sheath, a layer of tinned copper wire braid providing high conductivity and effective electromagnetic shielding, and an outer protective sheath. TCWB cables are commonly installed in industrial automation, instrumentation, and environments with electromagnetic interference (EMI), ensuring reliable data and control transmission.
- Excellent Shielding Performance – Tinned copper wire braid provides superior EMI and RFI resistance.
- Corrosion Resistance – Tinned copper enhances durability in humid or corrosive environments.
- Stable Electrical Properties – High-conductivity copper conductors ensure precise signal and control accuracy.
- Flexible and Durable – Suitable for fixed installation in both indoor and outdoor applications.
- Custom Options – Flame-retardant, oil-resistant, and LSZH sheath available upon request.

FAQ
What is the primary advantage of TCWB over bare copper braid?
Corrosion resistance. The tin plating protects the copper from oxidation and turning green, making TCWB ideal for humid or marine environments. Additionally, tinning significantly improves solderability, ensuring easier and more reliable termination compared to bare copper.
Can TCWB be used for EMC shielding?
Yes. This is a primary application. When placed over a cable bundle, TCWB acts as a Faraday cage, providing high optical coverage (typically 90%+) to block Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) and Radio Frequency Interference (RFI) from disrupting sensitive signals.
Is TCWB suitable for grounding (earthing) straps?
Yes. Its braided structure makes it highly flexible, unlike solid bars. It withstands vibration without fatiguing, making it perfect for grounding moving machinery doors, gates, or vehicle chassis components where rigid connections would break.
