The LiYCY Cable is a high-performance, flexible, multi-conductor cable engineered for signal and data transmission in environments demanding superior electromagnetic compatibility (EMC). Its name, LiYCY, breaks down as follows: “Li” for flexible conductors, “Y” for PVC insulation and sheath, and “C” for the tinned copper braid screen that protects against electromagnetic interference (EMI). LiYCY control cable can be used in industrial automation, computer systems and instrumentation.
- Flame Retardancy: Complies with VDE 0472 and IEC 60332-1-2 for enhanced safety.
- Oil Resistance: Highly resistant to oils and industrial lubricants.
- Variants: Available in standard, twisted pair (TP) to minimize crosstalk, and unscreened LiYY for basic applications.

What is the main difference between LiYCY and LiYY cable?
The shielding. LiYY is unshielded. LiYCY features a Tinned Copper Wire Braid (TCWB) screen. You must choose LiYCY for environments with electrical noise (EMI) to prevent signal interference, whereas LiYY is only for noise-free environments.
Is there a Halogen-Free version of LiYCY?
Yes. It is called LiHCH. It replaces the PVC insulation and sheath with a Halogen-Free (LSZH) compound. You must specify LiHCH for installations in public buildings (airports, hospitals) to ensure low smoke and non-toxic emissions during a fire.
Can I use LiYCY instead of "CY"control cable?
No. "CY" cables are designed for power and control (up to 1000V) with thicker insulation. LiYCY is for data signals (max 350-500V peak) with thinner walls. Using LiYCY for mains voltage motor connections is a safety hazard.
