4 traid cable is a rugged, multi-conductor control cable. It is designed for mission-critical applications requiring electromagnetic interference (EMI) suppression, flexibility and durability. Each triad cable consists of three black, white, and red color-coded conductors stranded together with a tinned copper row of drain wires. Each conductor is individually shielded with aluminum polyester foil for 100% coverage and further protected by an integral foil shield. Featuring a 16 AWG bare copper core and flame-retardant PVC insulation, the cable is suitable for industrial automation, medical systems, and energy infrastructure, providing reliable signal and power transmission even under extreme conditions (-40°C to +105°C).

FAQ

It is used for transmitting analog and digital signals in process control systems, specifically connecting 3-wire instruments like Resistance Temperature Detectors (RTDs), solvenoids, or telemetry systems to PLCs and DCS.
The drain wire (made of Tinned Copper) is in continuous contact with the aluminum foil shield. It provides a low-resistance path to ground, allowing static electricity and induced noise to be safely drained away from the signal conductors.
Common UL listings include UL 13 (Power-Limited Tray Cable - PLTC) and UL 2250 (Instrumentation Tray Cable - ITC).
