ACWU cable is the Canadian standard for a versatile and rugged armored power cable. It is suitable for commercial, industrial, and apartment buildings. Its construction features one or more aluminum conductors insulated with XLPE, a bare aluminum bonding wire, and a protective interlocked aluminum armor, all encased in PVC jacket. ACWU90 is specifically designed for fixed installations and can be used in exposed or concealed wiring, run in cable trays, or directly buried in the ground in both wet and dry locations.

  • CSA Certified for Hazardous Locations: This cable is HL rated for use in Class I, II, and III, Division 1 and 2 hazardous locations when installed with approved connectors. It is fully certified to CSA C22.2 No. 51 and No. 174, ensuring compliance and safety.
  • High-Performance in Extreme Conditions: With a conductor temperature rating of 90°C for both wet and dry locations and a low-temperature rating that meets -40°C cold bend and impact tests.
  • Durable, All-in-One Construction: The interlocked aluminum armor provides excellent crush and impact resistance, while the outer PVC jacket is flame-retardant (FT4), low acid gas (AG14), and resistant to sunlight, moisture, and chemicals.
  • Voltage: 600V
  • Temperature Range: Max 90°C, Min -40 °C
  • Max. Temperature During Short Circuit (≤5S): 250°C
