The 4 core armoured cable is a highly resilient, low-voltage (0.6/1kV) power transmission solution engineered to safely support complex three-phase electrical systems in physically demanding environments. By integrating four insulated cores within a heavy-duty steel armour layer, this cable provides exceptional defense against mechanical impact, ground shifting, and external abrasion. This rugged construction inherently eliminates the need for additional protective conduits, allowing for secure direct-in-ground installation that significantly simplifies overall project routing. As a result, it serves as a highly reliable primary power feed for a wide range of demanding applications, including underground municipal mains, heavy-duty industrial plants, large-scale infrastructure projects, and harsh outdoor surface routing.

FAQ

Yes. The heavy-duty steel armour (SWA or STA) provides excellent mechanical protection against crushing and ground shifting, allowing for safe direct burial without the need for additional conduit piping.
While the thick outer sheath provides excellent moisture resistance suitable for wet underground conditions, standard armoured cables are not designed to be permanently submerged in water
The industry standard minimum bending radius is typically 8 to 12 times the overall outer diameter of the cable. Bending it any tighter can permanently damage the steel armour and compromise the inner insulation.
